Does your heart ache? Are you feeling misunderstood and alone? Maybe you're here because you feel unhappy with your life and relationships. Perhaps you have grown up in an environment where you couldn't be who you are, and you want a different way of living. Or perhaps a big painful event or chain of events has left you feeling unraveled. If you are ready to connect more and be YOU, I'd be honored to work with you. I can help you connect with the resources that are already within you.
With an integrative approach, in an environment of acceptance and non-judgment, I can support you and help create space for you. With mind/body easing methods like Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, CRM, and the Expressive Arts, we can address painful and activating issues and dynamics in your life, and reduce stress and symptoms of trauma in a way that goes beyond talk therapy alone, giving you a greater sense of safety and ease in the world.
I specialize in working with trauma, and also focus on supporting first and second generation immigrants with a special focus on people of the SWANA (Southwest Asian / North African) diaspora, Iranians, Muslims, people of color, HSP's (highly sensitive people), artists, activists, QTPOC, LGBQQIA and Trans and Non-Binary people as well as people of all genders and sexualities. I bring curiosity, cultural sensitivity, openness to the unknown, and a sense of humor to our sessions.
Please contact me at 310-935-1968 or mahyar@mahyarnili.com to schedule a fifteen minute no-charge consultation.
